Education in Kaduna State receives priority attention in Gov. Uba Sani’s first year, as he commissions School in Mararaban Jos.
In combating the challenge of out-of-school children, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially commissioned a new educational facility in Maraban Jos, Igabi LGA.
The new school, featuring a dozen classrooms was built to in order to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the State and reduce over population of existing schools to ensure compliance with the required student : teacher ratio.
The inauguration, carried out on behalf of the Governor by his Chief of Staff, Sani Liman, marks a significant stride towards providing a supportive environment for both students and teachers to enhance the quality of education across the State.
Governor Sani’s first year in office has seen a focused allocation of resources towards diminishing the out-of-school children demographic through a series of strategic actions:
1. Construction of 2,326 new classrooms, providing space for 93,040 pupils.
2. Provision of 30,742 two-seater desks, accommodating 61,484 pupils, to promote learning in a comfortable and respectful environment.
3. Installation of hygienic toilets and hand pumps for clean drinking water in schools.
4. Renovation of 707 classrooms.
5. Distribution of over 34,000 pieces of furniture for both pupils and teachers.
6. Reduction of tuition fees across all state-operated higher education institutions.
