By Lola Seriki-Idahosa, Kaduna Tracereporters –To mark the first anniversary of his tenure, Governor Uba Sani inaugurated a newly constructed 12-classroom block and refurbished existing classrooms at Shehu Idris Basic Education School in Babban Dodo. Additionally, he commissioned a 6-classroom facility at Abubakar Mairogo Basic Education School in the Zaria local government area.
Representing the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdulkadir Mayere, emphasized that the new facilities are fully equipped to promote both academic and personal growth among students.
Over the past year, Governor Sani’s administration has been committed to improving the basic educational landscape by upgrading school infrastructure, enhancing teacher training, and providing essential learning resources.
Key achievements in the education sector under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership include:
1. Construction of 2,326 new classrooms across the state’s 23 local government areas.
2. Renovation of 707 additional classrooms.
3. Distribution of over 34,000 pieces of furniture for pupils and teachers.
4. Implementation of reduced tuition fees in all state-run higher education institutions.
