Tracereporters –Adamawa State Project Coordinator of the North East Multisectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), Dr. Maurice Vunobolki condoled with the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who lost his immediate elder Brother, Mallam Salihu Ahmadu Ribadu (Arabo).
Maurice a Development Finance expert mourned the death of Salihu and visited the deceased family members in his Yola residence while he sympathized with them.
Salihu, a respected figure in the Yola South Local Government area of Adamawa while paying a condolence visit, Dr. Vunobolki alongside Principal Officers of the MCRP and some critical Stakeholders of Yola South described him as an elder statesman who will be greatly missed.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Dan Galadima Adamawa, Alhaji Lawal Ahmadu Ribadu expressed gratitude to Dr. Maurice Vunobolki for the visit and prayed to Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly. Dr. Vunobolki prayed for the repose of the soul of the elder statesman and for God to comfort members of the entire family with His grace.
Dr. Vunobolki while in Yola also took time to visit the Yola Market which was recently gutted by fire. He sympathized with the victims of the fire incident and asked them to exercise patience and have faith that God could bless them beyond their losses. He made a personal cash donation of three million naira to the victims to help them cushion the temporary effects of their losses.
Dr. Vunobolki also took out time to inspect the ongoing urban water supply scheme rehabilitation and expansion being carried out by the MCRP in Yola South. Dr. Vunobolki explained that the 15km water distribution lines within Yola Town are meant to provide a durable and sustainable solution to the water challenge of water shortage in Yola Town.
He also stated that in addition to the already completed small towns water supply schemes in eight small towns, ten more comprehensive rehabilitation of urban and small towns water schemes are currently ongoing in Ganye, Numan, Shelling, Murke, Bazza, Hildi, Belel, and others.
Maurice while responding to questions by Journalists, further explained that MCRP has worked with a group of consultants from the Water Resources Institute in Kaduna to develop a durable and sustainable water supply strategy for Adamawa State.
He expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for providing the needed leadership and direction for the long-term development strategy of Adamawa State.
