Kafur appreciates Hon Wakili

Tracereporters –Hon Shu’aibu Wakili, the Member, representing Kafur Constituency at the Katsina State House of Assembly, has been receiving appreciations from his constituency for his efforts in giving responsive representation to the constituency.

The Chairman, Critical Stakeholders Committee of Kafur LG, and Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, Alhaji Bello Kagara, highly appreciates the efforts being put forward by Hon Shu’aibu Wakili regarding issues affecting Kafur LG.

The Commissioner said he has been vindicated by Wakili’s performances so far.

Recall that on Saturday March 23, Hon Wakili distributed cash gifts, food items, clothes to several men, women and youth worth over N15 million to cushion the effects of economic hardships.

Alhaji Kagara recalled that no elected representative has ever done 10 per cent of what Hon Wakili has done in just 8 months.

Another political stakeholder in Kafur LG, Hon Nafiu Lawal Kuringafa, who was the first elected LG Council chairman, a former commissioner, and a former member of the state House of Assembly, also commended the efforts of Hon Wakili, saying it is a clarion call for others.

Some beneficiaries who spoke to the media at the event expressed their satisfaction and commended the member for his kind gesture by putting smiles on the faces of the people despite the economic hardship in the country

Mrs Lami Hanau and Mrs Harira ‘Yangwauro, both of the Mahuta ward of the LG who carted home 5kg bags of Guinea corn each with cash gifts spoke separately with this Reporter, saying their joy knew no bounds to be among the beneficiaries of Hon Wakili’s largesse to his constituents.

According to the 47-year-old Mrs Hanau, a businesswoman, Hon Wakili indeed made the people proud especially in his humanitarian activities in the LG.

Corroborating Hanau, Mrs Dangwauro, said: “We voted Hon Wakili and he indeed turnout to be an exceptional leader at the house. He is one of the best to have emerged from the LG,” she added.

Similarly, another beneficiary from the Dutsenkura/Kanya ward, Mr. Yusuf Kanya, who was equally elated, displayed his new kaftan with a cash gift of N10,000. Beating his chest, Kanya said, “This time around, Kafur LG voted in a right candidate to represent it. Hon Wakili is the peoples’ choice and also the man of the people.

“As you can see I am not the only beneficiary here today, but hundreds of the people from this LG are so too,” Kanya said; adding that should Hon Wakili decided to return to the house, it would be a smooth sail for him courtesy of his humanitarian activities in the LG.

Speaking on the state Governor, Dikko Radda, 50-year-old Kanya said: “We are telling our governor that he is the best governor in Nigeria, and we like your administration because you are doing the right thing especially at this trying period in our dear state – Katsina.”

Also extolling the virtue of Gov Radda, Mrs Hanau said, “some few months ago, we can not sleep in our homes again because of the activities of bandits and terrorists. We used to go into the bush to sleep with our children.

“However, for the past three months we even over sleep and wake up relief in our houses. We are no longer afraid because we are being secured by our amiable governor. So, we are saying, may Allah reward Gov Radda on what he is doing in the state,” she prayed.

The beneficiaries collectively called on other members in the state House of Assembly, both Senator and Member representing the senatorial zone at the National Assembly, LG Council as well as wealthy individuals in the state to emulate the good works of Hon Wakili.
