..Highlight areas that are ripe for investment and requiring development support

Tracereporters –As the engagement with German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) enter second day at the Council Chambers of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House where Kaduna State Government team made presentations on the state’s economic potentials, highlight areas that are ripe for investment and requiring development support.
Representatives of GIZ and KDSG team led by Her Excellency Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe held further roundtable discussions on sector-specific areas covering agriculture, energy as well as ICT and Investment.
At the end of the engagement, GIZ Country Director Dr Markus Wagner thanked Kaduna State Government for the warm hospitality and reiterated GIZ’s commitment to supporting Kaduna to attain sustainable growth and development.
On behalf of Kaduna State Government, the Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Balarabe,  thanked GIZ for their partnership and assured them of  the state’s dedication to making the most out of the  collaborations.
She also expressed confidence that the discussions will result in impactful initiatives that will benefit the Kaduna State.
Earlier in their first day visit, Kaduna State and German governments are set to deepen economic partnership as they work together to foster sustainable growth and development in the state. 
 
 
Under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, the administration is actively seeking support and partnerships to drive the state’s progress.
 
 
It could be recalled that in December 2023, Governor Uba Sani visited the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) to explore potential collaborations.
 
 
The visit which was successful, saw GIZ expressing their readiness to support the state in achieving its development goals.
 
 
 
Accordingly, the representatives from GIZ, led by Country Director Dr. Markus Wagner visited the state government for a two-day visit to discuss and solidify economic partnerships between the two parties.
 
 
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, the Governor had talks around specific areas where the state requires support from the German government which include energy, digital transformation, investment promotion, and agriculture.
 
 
On his part, Dr. Wagner expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and reaffirmed GIZ’s commitment to supporting Kaduna State in achieving sustainable development and creating job opportunities.
 
 
The Deputy Governor, on behalf of the state government, thanked GIZ for their partnership and assured them of the state’s dedication to making the most out of the collaboration.
 
 
She also expressed confidence that the discussions will result in impactful initiatives that will benefit the people of Kaduna state.
 
 
 
Furthermore, she highlighted progress made in the discussions, particularly in areas such as digital transformation, investment promotion, energy, and agriculture.
 
 
She disclosed that GIZ’s support in these sectors will have a positive impact on the state’s development and the lives of its people.
 
 
Overall, the visit by the GIZ team has strengthened the partnership between Germany and Kaduna State, and both parties are optimistic about the potential outcomes of their discussions.
 
 
Before their departure, the guests were hosted to a lunch and gifts of traditional attires were presented to the alated German guests.

Among the executives that received them include, Hon commissioner Human services and social development, Hon Rabi Salisu, Commissioner of Health, Haiya Umma K Ahmed amongst others
