Tracereporters –The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume has congratulated Ambassador at Large African Region, International Human Rights Commission Amb. Dr. Malami Shehu Ma’aji for the Medal of Honour conferred on him by World Chairman of IHRC Amb. Shahid Khan in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

He made the commendation during the weekend at his hometown, Makurdi, Benue state.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume said Nigeria and African region is proud of the commitment of Amb. Malami Shehu particularly his services to humanity urged him to continue to dedicate himself to protect the right of Africans.

It would be recalled that the World Chairman of International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) Amb. Muhammad Shahid Khan had decorated their African Amb. Dr. Malami Shehu Ma’aji with Medal of Honor for his outstanding performance, selfless services and dedication to humanity in African Nations.

The decoration took place at the closing ceremony of COP-28- United Nations climate change conference, at the UN Building in Dubai, UAE.

He was also officially decorated Amb. Dr. Malami Shehu as the Ambassador of Sash, indicating the class of Grand Cross in an order of merit based on the tradition of India.

Also during the conference, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Republic of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation presented a certificate of commendation to Amb. Dr. Malami Shehu for his active participation in Azerbaijan’s “Plant a Tree” initiative.

Dr. Malami Shehu, a citizen of Nigeria is now the currently African Ambassador At large of International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) serving the whole African countries.
