Tracereporters –A community leader in Rigasa, Igabi local government area of Kaduna state, Malam Umaru Bala Shehu, has alleged Nigerians have been subjected to a life of poverty, hunger, hardship and suffering.
The community Leader made the statement during a media chat with Blueprint Reporter in Kaduna on Tuesday.
Malam Bala further stated that,

He said the condition has been aggravated by the removal of fuel subsidy which has led to high cost living.
“High cost of food items, transportation and meeting up with other essential needs.
“The hike in school fees has made it difficult for the children of the poor to continue their education,” he said.
He lamented that, “As soaring food prices, growing hunger and economic hardship continue to dominate the society, the crisis could kill over 100 people per day, if the situation continue”.
He said Nigerians are groaning under serious hunger and poverty and are therefore unable to meet their basic needs.
“Majority of average Nigerians are facing hunger, no money for school fees and no jobs,” he said.
