Tracereporters –A Group under the aegis of Tudun Wada Zaria Sustainable Development Association, Zaria in consultation with other organisations in Kaduna State has frowned at the process of screening and clearing of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ministerial nominees of former Kaduna state Governor Nasir el-Rufai by the senate.
Addressing pressmen during a press conference, at the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ) secretariat, the secretary of the Association Alh. Nasiru Ladan, said the group notice with serious concern the conspiracy to deprive our beloved country the benefits of Malam Nasiru el-Rufai is focus and result oriented administrator.
He said, “as ministerial nominees Malam el-Rufai was equally subjected to a security scrutiny before their appearance at the senate chamber for screening and clearance, accordingly, he also took his bow at the end of interaction he has with the senators and left, therefore, to raise and entertain a fresh security report is an afterthought, witch-hunting and victimisation”
According to him, “As rightly observed by the Senate President, petitions and complaints should be directed to the appropriate quarters. That is how it should be.
“Finally, we urge the senate to clear Mal. Nasiru El-Rufa’i urgently without
further delay in the interest of peace, fairness and justice. Unfortunate, there are some nominees cleared and are allegedly with cases before EFCC.
