Tracereporters –More than 2000 Group and volunteers have launch their campaign in Abuja ahead the flag off of All progressive Congress ( APC), governorship campaign in Adamawa state slated for January 9.
The group under the auspices of North East Coalition for peace and justice at press briefing in Abuja unfold it’s program tagged ” operation capture North East” on Tuesday vowed to leave no stone unturned to ensure the victory of Senator Aishat Binani, the only female governorship candidate in the All Progressive Congress ( APC) , from Adamawa state.
Speaking at the event the coordinator of the group Haruna Garus Gololo said that ” The launching in Abuja is deliberate because we are tasking ourselves to raise funds rather than waiting for the candidate to fund our campaign, ours is volunteer and as you can see from the high table we are all coming from different backgrounds”
Gololo said that the victory of Senator Binani at the primary is an indication that history is in the offing ” For the first time we have a female candidate running for governorship election with overwhelming support from the grass root and we intend to build on this victory”
” Her emergency is not based on sentiment or affirmative action but as a result of her love and help that she had rendered to the ordinary Nigerians, irrespective of your background ”
” In our group we have people from BAUCHI, Yobe, Igbos, Yorubas. The only criteria is your PVC” he said.
