Trace Reporters –As Muslims in the country joined their counterparts across the world in commemorating the annual holy month of Ramadan, the Kaduna state council of NUJ has charged the Muslim faithfuls to use the period in seeking for Allah’s blessings and divine intervention towards the restoration of peace and unity of purpose in the state and the country.
A statement issued by the Council Secretary,Gambo Santos Sanga and signed by the chairman, Asma’u yawo Halilu also called on the Muslim ummah to use the occasion for sober reflection.
The statement also admonished the Muslim faithfuls to pray for Allah’s mercies, provisions and protection as well as to heal the country from her current insecurity challenges.
The Council also enjoined Muslims and non Muslims alike to close ranks and live in peace and harmony for the socioeconomic and political wellbeing of the country.
The Kaduna state council of NUJ further expressed optimism that Kaduna state and indeed Nigeria would survive the numerous challenges bedevilling the nation, stressing that every challenge is surmountable.
The Council prayed Allah to accept the the spiritual rejuvenation of all Muslims and grant Nigeria a peaceful Ramadan period as well as a peaceful transition comes 2023.
