Trace Reporters –Member House Of Reps, Hon. Samaila Suleiman has finally defected from All Progressives Congress (APC), to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ahead the 2023 General Election.

The federal legislator was received at his U/ Sarki in Kaduna North Federal Constituency by ward Chairman and secretary of PDP, Nasiru Abubakar and Nasiru Wada respectively.

Suleiman had earlier informed his colleagues at the Floor of the House of his resignation from APC, a party on whose platform he was elected twice as a member House of Reps.

While presenting membership card to the new member, PDP ward Chairman of U / Sarki, Nasiru Abubakar noted that mass exodus into the greatest opposition party was an indication that the ruling APC would lose the 2023 election.

Abubakar stated that Hon. Suleiman had been an invaluable politician whose contributions to country and upliftment of people cannot be overemphasized, urging all PDP members to warmly receive the new entrant and accord him all the needed supports he may require to feel at home.

Earlier, Hon. Suleiman announced that he was with his ward leaders to formally join the PDP after months of speculations, particularly by members of his estranged party who felt unhappy and vulnerable by the exit and above all the impacts it would have on the 2023 political calculations in the constituency.

Suleiman pledged to be a good ambassador of his newfound party by redoubling commitments to building a decent, socially and economically virile society.

While resolving to work assiduously for the success of PDP at the poll, Suleiman expressed optimism in his new party to solve Nigeria’s socioeconomic and security challenges, urging the electorate not to allow themselves to be deceived for the third time consecutive time.
