Trace Reporters –Adamawa Local Government Chairman of Mubi South, Hon Jingi Rufai has last week was unanimously returned elected by the National delegates of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) as the union national welfare secretary in Abuja

Jingi who is the Adamawa ALGON chairman, representing the twenty Local Government areas said his position is as a welfare secretary will further bring good dividends of democracy to all the local government areas in the state.

While appreciating the National leadership of the Association for finding him worthy of the noble assignment, he thanked his colleagues in Adamawa for providing him with the enabling opportunity to serve the nation in this capacity.

According to him leadership is a trust at whatever capacity big or small that the leader should show unreserved service to humanity and that he will ever do for the sake of not only Adamawa state but the entire nation.

Jingi appreciated the Governor of the state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for being the kind of leader the state have ever wanted and backing him to this very course of national leadership.

“We are elected to better represent a common Man in this country, knowing the fact that Local Government councils are the nearest government to the people at the grassroots.

”I will do my best to ensure that the Union under my office and people experience a better welfare before my tenure expires.

” I’m known with this kind of life style, as a politician and a philanthropist ,haven done a lot of empowerment programmes to hundreds of people in my local communities and executed many capital projects, my present office is just to endear me to do more for the people of Nigeria.” Jingi said.

Rufai intimated our correspondent on a telephone interview that ALGON will make sure that local government autonomy is fully implemented across the country.
