PTAD Fixes August to Remove Unverified KadPoly Pensioners From Payroll ,says ANPP

…Calls on members to make themselves available for verification

Trace Reporters –Association of Nigeria Polytechnics Pensioners (ANPP) ,Kaduna Polytechnic Chapter has called on its members,who did not undergo verification by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) to do so immediately.

In a public notice signed by the Secretary the Kadpoly Chapter of ANPP,  Adamu A. Abdul , the concerned members should make themselves available for verification or risk being removed from payroll .

According to the notice, the Directorate shall remove unverified members from payroll with effect from August, 2020 pension payment if they failed to provide necessary evidence .

The notice further reads : The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) carried out a field verification exercise for pensioners of Treasury funded parastatals under the define benefits scheme from April to November 2019 across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

“Thereafter, the directorate continued to verify pensioners who missed the field exercise at their office Abuja.

“Following a comprehensive review and analysis of the verification data, it was discovered that a total of one hundred and sixty-six (166) pensioners have not participated in the directorate’s verification exercise and have been identified to be on payroll.

“In addition, the directorate has not received any formal notification that these pensioners are out of Nigeria or that they are sick and thus unable to come for verification.

However, the Kadpoly Pensioners Union, urged the existing pensioners under the defined benefit scheme either at home or in diaspora to make themselves available for verification through any of the three options whichever is applicable to individual cases:

“Where the pensioner(s) are oversea: he/she should avail the directorate with career records and other details of the pensioner supported by evidence of being abroad such as a confirmation of “Aliveness” from a Nigeria embassy.

“Where the pensioner(s) is sick; he/she should avail the directorate with career records and other details of the pensioner Supported by an attestation from a government hospital.

“Where pensioner claims he/she has undergone verification and His/her name is on the list, such individual (s) should avail the directorate, a copy of the verification slip issued to him after being duly verified.”

“The affected pensioners should contact the Pension Desk Officer, Central Administration, Kaduna Polytechnic or the Association Secretariat via:08036139346/08036437284”

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS

REMOVAL OF PAASTATLS PENSIONERS THAT DID NOT UNDERGO VERIFICATION FROM THE DIRECTORATE’S PENSION PAY ROLL

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) carried out a field verification exercise for pensioners of Treasury funded parastatals under the define benefits scheme from April to November 2019 across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Thereafter, the directorate continued to verify pensioners who missed the field exercise at their office Abuja.

Following a comprehensive review and analysis of the verification data, it was discovered that a total of one hundred and sixty-six (166) pensioners have not participated in the directorate’s verification exercise and have been identified to be on payroll.

In addition, the directorate has not received any formal notification that these pensioners are out of Nigeria or that they are sick and thus unable to come for verification.

Consequently, the Directorate shall remove them from payroll with effect from August, 2020 pension payment if the pensioners concerned did not provide the following:

(1) Where the pensioner(s) are oversea: he/she should avail the directorate with career records and other details of the pensioner supported by evidence of being abroad such as a confirmation of “Aliveness” from a Nigeria embassy.

(ii) Where the pensioner(s) is sick; he/she should avail the directorate with career records and other details of the pensioner Supported by an attestation from a government hospital.

(iii) Where pensioner claims he/she has undergone verification and His/her name is on the list, such individual (s) should avail the directorate, a copy of the verification slip issued to him after being duly verified.

The Kaduna Polytechnic Pensioners Association therefore wishes to call on all the existing pensioners under the defined benefit scheme either at home or in diaspora to please avail themselves of the opportunity by making themselves available for verification through any of the three options above whichever is applicable to your own individual cases please.
