Tracereporters –Following allegations of huge financial misappropriation under security, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dialogue group limited, Alhaji Shehu Mahdi has called for the immediate sack and investigation of the Secretary to the Katsina State government Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa and for the governor himself Aminu Bello Masari to resign honourably.
Alhaji Mahdi alleged the questionable security spendings of monies amounting to the sum of Fifty two billion, six hundred and eighty million, eight hundred and sixty nine thousand, two hundred and forty eight naira only (N52,680,869,248) from the escrow security account of the state.
Mahdi who lamented the unimaginable rate at which peoples lives are being wasted with reckless abandon by bandits in Katsina state, has also petitioned the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) seeking for thorough investigation of the security spendings in Katsina state.
The petition according to him is to urge the anti-graft agency to investigate unlawful cash withdrawals in contravention of extant rules and financial regulations and constitutions of Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) stressing that some of the funds were embezzled under fictitious project and pilgrimages.
Alhaji Mahdi was further alleged that the governor Masari is not in charge of governance in Katsina State also asked the governor before resigning to dissolve his cabinet alleging that all of them have been compromised in one form or the other.
” I call on the elders of Katsina state to wake up and salvage unpleasant situations in Katsina State before it gets out of hand because the governor is not in charge, the SSG has taken over as defactor governor the mandate given to governor Aminu Bello Masari.
” I also call on the governor, Aminu Bello Masari to dissolve his cabinet, sack the SSG and for himself to honourably resign and hand over to the Speaker of the House of Assembly immediately.
