Tracereporters –Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN, has commiserated with the Enugu State Government, family members and the entire people of the state over the death of Samuel Okwaraji’s mother.
SWAN received with deep shock the death of the late ex-international’s mother, Mrs. Janet Okwaraji who died in her home town after a brief illness.
In the condolence message jointly signed by the President of the Association, Comrade Ahmed Aigbona and the Secretary General Comrade Mike Oboh respectively, described the deceased as a true mother who in spite of the sudden death of her son, (Samuel Okwaraji) has continued to show love for the unity of Nigeria until her death.
While sympathizing with the Enugu State Government and her family members, SWAN, in its condolence message explained that Mrs. Janet died at her Abakpa Nike Enugu home in less than one month that the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth development under the Minister, Sunday Dare extended his hands of generosity by sending food items and cash of N50,000 to her.
In empathy, the SWAN President states: “may God Almighty give the loved ones she left behind the strength to bear the loss.
