Tracereporters.com …Following reports of security concerns in Maiduguri on Wednesday night, Borno Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum showed up 12am (midnight) to restore and build public confidence, assess situation and meet victims.
The scene was in Damboa road around Maiduguri NNPC depot.
A rocket propelled grenade was believed to have been launched by boko haram insurgent from unknown distance and if fell on a house in Jiddari injuring occupants.
Zulum had on receiving the news of the attack, been in touch with heads of security agencies monitoring responses from forces.
Members of a family were largely affected by the grenade.
Zulum visited the state Specialist Hospital, Maiduguri where those injured were admitted. He directed the settlement of their medical bills.
