Tracereporters.com –The Social Democratic Party (SDP) is deeply saddened by the high rate of killings of innocent Nigerians by various criminal gangs in the country in the past few weeks.
Consequently, it is with heavy hearts, that we the entire SDP family nation wide mourn the gruesome murder of a young seminarian, Nnadi Micheal, Rev. Lawan Andimi, the CAN Chairman of Michika Local Government Area in Adamawa State, the poor university of Maiduguri student, Mr Ropvil Dalyep, the wife of a kaduna based medical practitioner, Mrs Phillips Ataga, Mall. Salisu, the chief Imam of Tawari community in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State and 23 other persons blown up in the mosque while offering prayers, the innocent pupils of the Islamic seminary blown up in maiduguri last week and all the victims of other heinous murders that were carried out in the past few weeks by various criminal gangs that have invaded our land and having field day across the country.
May their souls rest in perfect peace.
This was contained In a Press statement signed by Alfa Mohammed, National Publicity Secretary of Social Democratic Party, (SDP) said, “We call on well meaning Nigerians to join us in openly condemning these heartless killings and others crimes being committed against Nigerians.
“This is not the time to ‘siddon de look’ or time to be pampering the government.
The life of every Nigerian ,irrespective of his religion or tribe must mean much to everyone of us.
“We must let the government know the truth that it is neither doing enough nor utilising enough of the available options.
“To this end, we call on president Mohammadu Buhari to convene a National stateholders’ summit where every geo-political zone and relevant organisations and body of political parties shall brainstorm and arrive at consensus on how to tackle this fatal state of insecurity before it gets out of hands.
