Tracereporters.com –Governor Nasir El Rufai has appointed two female Special Advisers into his government as part of his efforts towards gender inclusion, bring the number of women Special Advisers in his cabinet to 11.
Governor El-Rufai also appoints former Blueprint Bureau Chief Ibraheem Shehu Musa as Special Assistance on media and publicity.
Until his appointment, Mr. Ibrahim Musa was a member of the Transition Committee and APC Campaign Council,
A statement signed by Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, the Special Adviser on Media and Communication on Tuesday said that Mrs. Stella Amako and Hajiya Zainab Shehu have been named Special Advisers for Community Relations and Social Development, respectively.
Adekeye further said that the new Special Advisers are among the 17 officials that were appointed on Tuesday for the active roles that they played in the Kaduna State Chapter of All Progressives Congress(APC) 2019 Campaign Council and the Transition Committee.
The statement also noted that some of the appointees were officials in the Kaduna State APC executive.
According to the statement, the new appointees include Hon Aliyu Haruna, a former member of Kaduna State House of Assembly, who is Senior Special Assistant on Youths and Hon Ibrahim Ismail, Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations, also an ex state legislator .
“The rest appointees are Hajiya Hafsat Aminu Ashiru, Senior Special Assistant -Administration, Office of the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Nazir Sanusi, the Special Assistant in charge of ICT, who was an aspirant to the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
“Secretary of Kaduna state APC, Mohammed Bello Shuaibu, is now Senior Special Assistant on Stakeholder Relations, the statement added. Governor El Rufai’s Special Adviser also named Kamal Aliagan, as Special Assistant on Public Communication, in the Office of the Deputy Governor.
Adekeye also named Yakubu Yatai, the present Publicity Secretary of Kaduna state APC, as Special Assistant on Community Relations.
“Ibraheem Shehu Musa, a member of the Transition Committee and APC Campaign Council, is Special Assistant on Media and Publicity while Alhaji Ashiru Zuntu, who served in the present administration in the first term, is Special Assistant- Community Relations, the statement added.
Adekeye further listed Rabi Musa Manchi, who was a member of the Campaign Council, as Special Assistant on Legal Matters, so is Mahmud Mahmud Aminu.
The statement also mentioned Aminu Lawal Na-Anty as the new Special Assistant-Youths. Na-Anty was a member of the APC Campaign Council. Former Technical Assistant to the Commissioner of Local Government, Sonia Bature, is now Special Assistant on Environment.
“The new Special Assistant on Environment is Sakinat Bello, the statement said, adding that ‘’as a youth corper, her feisty question at the KDSG SDG Conference in January 2019 earned her an instant job offer which has now been redeemed.’’
According to the statement, Arch Mohammed Jalal has been nominated as a commissioner in the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, adding that the nominee served as Director, Social Media in the APC Campaign Council and was a member of the Transition Committee.
